The catenary truss with a light vierendeel truss to balance the sway of the catenary was identified as the most inexpensive solution and was also the most acceptable architectural expression. Both the Owner and the Architect are very pleased with the architectural expression and it was also $1,200,000.00 less expensive than a conventional truss.
