Project Engineer

Carlos is a great asset to our forensics and structural diagnostic group, with expertise in foundation distress, construction defects, wind and fire damage, and collapse investigations. Other skills include non-destructive testing (NDT), working with ground penetrating radar (GPR), assessing ultrasonic thickness and coating thickness, floor elevation surveys, structural load testing, and instrumentation. He joined Datum in 2014 and serves as a Project Engineer. Carlos has over 10 years’ experience designing steel, concrete, timber, and masonry-type buildings, including K-12, commercial, stadiums, retail, and large residential.

He attended University of Texas at Arlington, where he earned his bachelor’s in architecture and his master’s in civil engineering, structures and applied mechanics.
