The new Fort Worth Museum of Science and History will replace the existing 1952 museum on the same site. Designed in collaboration with Legorreta + Legorreta, The Projects Group, Gideon Toal, Blum Consulting Engineers, Kimley-Horn and Mesa Design Group, the new museum is 115,000 sf and has a proposed budget of $65 million.

The museum has many exhibit spaces, classrooms and dining areas. A new domed Noble Planetarium will be an icon for the complex. The "Dino-Dig" will get an "Extreme Makeover" and have a new sandpit for future archeologists. And, the main entrance will be an 80 foot tower we call the "Urban Lantern". The top of the tower consists of a glowing glass box that can be seen for miles around.
