Engineering Education & Research Center
The University of Texas
Austin, Texas
$201 M

Architects:  Ennead Architects with Jacobs

Datum Gojer Engineers will be the structural engineer for the new Engineering Education and Research Center at The University of Texas at Austin.  The project design will be led by the architectural team of Ennead Architects (formerly Polshek Partnership) and Jacobs.

Datum Gojer also recently teamed with Ennead and Jacobs to design the Business Leadership Building for the University of North Texas, currently under construction.

The $201M project will be the centerpiece of the Cockrell School of Engineering's efforts to launch new facilities designed for 21st century engineering education and research.

Much of the new complex will be dedicated to creating advanced facilities for interdisciplinary research, as well as other formal and informal spaces for collaboration and sharing of ideas among faculty, students, and entrepreneurs.

The EERC will also create a new home for the Department of Electrical Engineering, replacing the Engineering Science Building (ENS) at the heart of the engineering quad of the campus.

For many of us at Datum, this is a lifetime opportunity to play a role in shaping the future of the College which nurtured us and launched our careers.
