The City of Dallas, new Vickery library is  a single story modern design building.  It has a youth center and numerous spaces for classes and community meetings.  The building is sustainable to include carbon neutral, solar panels on the roof and a stormwater retention pond.  The library also includes an exposed steel tensile system that supports its metal roof deck.  Datum created a three-dimensional truss system, with a network of steel cables traversing the width of the 80-foot span.
