Comets LANding is an addition to the existing student union complex at The University of Texas at Dallas, designed to create a new hub for gaming and esports. Designed by SmithGroup, with structural engineering services provided by Datum Rios, the two-story facility is the largest collegiate gaming center of its kind in the United States.
The center includes over 70 PC gaming stations, competitive team rooms, broadcast and production spaces, and a multipurpose event area designed to host tournaments and community gatherings. It also includes a Buffalo Wild Wings and a variety of collaboration and social spaces that bring students, fans, and faculty together in an immersive, tech-forward environment.
