Yufang Cheng,

Associate, Project Engineer

Yufang is a Design Engineer in Datum’s San Antonio office. She is a determined student of structures and design, with a rare sensibility for the aesthetics of both the structure and the architecture of the final product. During her time with Datum, she has been involved in the design of a wide variety of buildings with numerous structural systems, of varying scales and structural materials. Yufang has worked on many projects since joining Datum including the San Antonio Botanical Gardens and Texas A&M International Academic Science Building.

Yufang holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, as well as a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.

Why do you work at Datum?

Datum always strives for the art of engineering and embraces the diversity of work.  As a result, I have an opportunity to work on unique and interesting projects alongside talented engineers for important clients, which inspires me.

What makes you interesting? 

I enjoy watching and playing tennis. My dream is to watch all four grand slams in person.
